1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie For $12.00
August 31, 1997
I went to a out of town convention with my dad and during the day I was able to attend a Baseball Card show.
I remember in detail the date. While I sat at the Hardees, or Mcdonalds we had for breakfast. The front page of the USA Today that used to be sold by Mcdonalds at the counter read "Princess Diana DEAD". It was pretty shocking because she was such a big star in the 90's.
The hottest card of 97' was a Griffey Jr. 1989 Upper Deck Rookie card. Problem was it was a $100 card. I remember there was a person there with packs of 89' upper deck for $4 and I bought 3 packs.
In my very last pack there it was a Ken Griffey Jr. 1989 Upper Deck Rookie in 10/10 condition for $12.00
